Open up your fuse box and push down on all of the fuses and relays. It might just be a case of one coming a little loose.

Connected a snap on scan tool and found a code for the crank position sensor. Checked the sensor with a multimeter and it failed. I replaced the sensor with a genuine part 6 months ago and it has already given up seems strange to me.

Does seem strange, maybe just unlucky.

From speaking to people and hanging around the online JK CRD scene for a while now, no body has had a crank position failure as such, the only thing that goes wrong is usually the wiring/plug getting caught/damaged on something offroad..

Yeah would make sense if the Jeeps been off road but it hasn't. Seems like a crap place to put the sensor. The stealership quoted me $500 for a new sensor lucky I found a place in the UK that sells them for $250. I'd rather wait then pay double

Yeah it's a terrible place to put the sensor. JK's are the only one's that have it there too, KJ/KK/KA all have it on the side of the motor... At least its easy to get to haha.

Where exactly are you sourcing one from?
