Seems to hold pressure but will replace the cap as i have no idea how old it is, yes draws from the overflow .

Do your best to not drive it until your new thermo rocks up. It's usually quite quick from Rockauto, I've had stuff in just over 3 days.
Failing that, you can get them locally, have fun fitting the bugger, make sure she's lined up properly, it's a tight squeeze on the 4.7, unless you have midget hands. I had to use some sealant on the oring to stop the sucker leaking last time I did mine
