UConnect annoying "turn by turn navigation not available" message
Does anyone know how to disable the annoying "You have entered an area where turn by turn navigation is not available" announcement? This occurs even when Navigation is not open on the display, such as when using Android Auto.
I was in Ulladulla on the weekend, and this was occurring any time I turned into the back streets off the main road. If I returned to the main road then turned off again, the announcement would repeat.

This must be a "newer" model? Mine only annoys you during nav with a similar-ish screen prompt.
Have you had a good look in the settings for anything that could be half a chance? I'm surprised that this is the first mention of the problem.
Cheers, Steve

Sounds more like a setting in your navigation app on the phone, since it only pops up when connected through Android Auto.

Maybe I should have worded it better - it happens regardless of what is open on the screen. Had it happen with radio, USB media, Android Auto or climate controls displayed. Not linked to AA as it occurs even without the phone in the car.
I'll be spending some time playing with settings over the weekend to try and turn it off before I'm back down at the same costal town over Christmas. The announcement plays every time you turn off the main road down there!

Hi Rogue,
Been there done that. I have a 2018 limited that drove me made until they eventually did an update to the unit and that fixed it. Works nice now. Good luck
