Also added some small LED lights to the Rack on the other side running the cables for them in the same manner as shown in the previous reply, works well, bit more fiddly running the wires through the side of the car though.
Good luck

@Markus - I notice you are using the ORA roof rails...how did you go drilling the rails to accommodate your Frontrunner mounts?

Hi semainwaring,
Yes being able to utilise the ORA brackets was great, it took a bit of fiddling around and measuring though lined the Rack up and marked out the holes, took the Brackets off and drilled out the holes. Then put it back on again.
The only drama was needing to do up the bolts clamping the Rack onto the brackets before installing back onto the Jeep as you cants utilise the fasteners supplied by ORA.

Nice work. What is the dimensions of you rack? Total weight? I'm trying to be a weight weenie so I can tow a large caravan as well as put kayaks on the roof.

Thanks for that with 2 kayaks, rack, and fittings I'll be very close to 90 Kgs. Anyone carrying that sort of weight regularly? The dimensions seem to be very close to the chief rack any reason why you went with front runner specifically?

I'm still trying to figure out how to keep the Yaks away from the damn rear door when it opens.

Yeah, I currently have to take them off before I open the door or it hits them and auto closes . I might have to load the kayaks on their sides like I used to but I can't do that by myself any more and my team mate is not always enthusiastic for early morning paddles .
