JK Wrangler height
So, I just climbed under the Wrangler and blew out the diff breather hoses (had one blow off in the past).
While I was there I measured clearance between the ground and the bottom of the rear diff pumpkin. 8 inches it measured. Now the specs for an off the shelf Rubicon says 10.1 inches.
I am supposed to have a 2" lift on the thing which means that the clearance should be 12 inches at least. Go figure!
And I discovered another thing. I am not as flexible as I once was. And the clearance between my body and the JK has reduced. Don't know why.

I thought the on thing that affected diff clearance was wheel / tyre size?

Me too, but even with 265 tyres the reading is less than the official specs.

Lift won't change the height of the pumpkin. I wonder how they figure it should be 10.1"?
You made me curious, so I just went & measured mine. 9 1/2" rear, 10" front on 265s.
Maybe they measured the front, and if the shape of the Rubi D44's is a bit different, that gives a bit more clearance?
