Downside to Quick Disconnects?
I'm thinking of fitting quick disconnects to a '98 XJ with a 2" OME lift. Before I do, any words of wisdom? Any disadvantages to fitting them - weakness, breakage, etc?

Downside to Quick Disconnects?
what type of disconnetcs are you fitting?
a very cheap alternative is to just replace the top nut with a wingnut and carry your spanner around, takes about 3min to remove the whole linkage. know a few guys that use this alternative.
the terraflex discos for the xj are good, take a while to wear in though.

Downside to Quick Disconnects?
I'm looking at the JKS quicker disco's.
Just hesitating from the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" angle.
Had previous nightmare experience with modified 4Runner - the Jeep has been pretty reliable and trouble-free so far, hence reluctance to stuff around with it.

Downside to Quick Disconnects?
Spoken to a few guys that I have fitted them to or have them on XJ's and they didn't like the un-controlled feeling it gave with lots of sway. Like being in a small boat in a big sea! They only use them every now again now.
I would try it out first by just slipping off the links and see how it goes.

Downside to Quick Disconnects?
I modded my links and replaced the lower nut with an R clip so do not need a spanner. As for the roll all you have to do to avoid that is keep speed down if ya going to go fast re connect then for safety reasons
Also stops you getting sea sick

Downside to Quick Disconnects?
I've got the JKS Quicker Discos on my 95 XJ with 3.5" lift. No problems so far.
