Steve,
My maths - so you'd best check...
32x9.5 TSLSX Load 2530lb(1140kg) Max 45PSI
TJ = 1570kg + load say 200kg = 1770kg
Each tyre load = 1770/4 = 442.5kg
Pro Rata 45PSI from 1140kg to 442kg = 17PSI
So I'd say approx 20PSI....I'm running my swampers at 18PSI.
They are 32X11.5's. But 20 sounds about right to me. I highly doubt they bag at all even at 20! I curently have them sitting at about 28. And it feels like they are made of rocks! But I love the sound of that tyre hummmmmmmmmmmmmm
Could always try chalking the tyre to find the right pressure. Pump them up to max reccomended pressure and put a chalk line across tread. Drive it down a short section of smooth road and inspect wear pattern. Keep lowering pressures until you get an even wear pattern you are happy with. May need to then go up a couple of PSI to cover roll when cornering???
24psi?? is a good start, having no belts as such these tyres will centrifically change shape anyway at speed or higher pressures, getting a rite pressure for slow & fast opperation is going to be tricky with out central tyre inflation lie a hummer.
the chalk method is good, so is water on dry concrete to see your getting full contact onthe road but the end of the day you'll need to be getting in & out checking pressures and keeping a close eye on the wear so you dont cook them.
id'e not be leaving them on for road use either unless you want them to expire early.
