Anyone know a decent service place
Does anyone know of a good service centre. I have a Jeep Wrangler Renegade 1997 model. I live in Sydney (Eastern Suburbs) and last time took it to the local dealer near South Head Road, But ended up feeling that I was being conned and ripped off so they could charge me lots of $$$$$$$$$$s.
If anyone can recommend somewhere thats honest interested and will be straight about what needs to be done and then do it properly and charge a real price then I would like to know where they are.
Thanks alot

DIY? (my preference).
I've found SVM Chatswood & Wagon Wheels Burwood to be not bad...but still dealers and you get stung with dealer part prices & they still aren't as thorough & knowledgable as I'd prefer.
Lastly look at the top of this screen and click on Suburban4wd - they are at Minchinbery which IS a long way from the eastern suburbs - but Mick & Mark are Jeep nuts and know what they are doing (& then some)....Just watch the modification bug when you visit the showroom ;)
BTW Welsome aboard - now get your butt to a Sydney Jeep Club Meeting (held at above mentioned Suburban 4wd showroom)....

Anyone know a decent service place
here richard, i'll give you a hand here :D
10 easy steps to Suburban 4WD for wednesday nigth meeting.
from eastern suburbs,
1, find your way to the city,
2, then find parramatta road,
3, then drive straight till you hit the Motorway M4,
4, then drive straight till you hit the toll gates, and have AUD&2.20 ready.
5, then keep going till you get to Roper Road / Eskin Park Road exit. which is the exit after "WonderLand"
6, then turn right roper road,
7, then 1st Round-a-bout, turn right,
8, then 1st R-A-B turn right,
9, then straight through the second R-A-B
10, then first on your left, and you will see jeeps...
Cheers :D
EDIT:
and i services my jeep at SVM at chaswood as well, they are pretty cool, but remember that services are expensive no matter where you go, and jeep are just expensive...
cheers

Just watch out for a new XJ doing locked up donuts! :D
If you get lost, try sitting on the side of the M4 with your hazards on. If you're lucky, one or two jeeps should pull over ;)
BTW SVM at Chatswood are pretty good, they dont mind if your jeep's dirty. If they tell you that some parts need replacing, dont get them to do it, jeep parts are too expensive!
