Default Best place for Jeep bits in Melbourne??

Hey guys,
I'm heading over to Melbourne next weekend and I was just wondering where the best place is for Jeep accessories etc...
Cos there's nowhere in Tassie, and none of the dealers have a clue about 4WDs let alone a Jeep...
Cheers...
(I just want to find out about extending the lift on my XJ higher... )

Cheers for that...
I thought I would take the opportunity to actually talk to someone who knows what they're talking about...

(One of the guys at our friendly ARB outlet in hobart didn't know what IPF Headlight inserts were...)

this forum is not for slagging off suppliers, we would be more than happy to work on an XJ. In fact we have done many lifts on XJ's and any jeep deserves to be lifted. Yes we drive TJ's and CJ's but that's only our choice. We would be more than happy to help you out with your lift. You call yourself a jeep suporter Crossflow, well if you go around bad mouthing workshops then you will be left with a broken jeep and no one to fix it.

I know of 1 or 2 XJ's that USA4x4 have worked on and would suggest them for sure.

Settle down.

I was simply pointing out that USA 4x4 tend to specalise with TJ's and he might be better off going to someone else with an XJ for lifting.

USA 4X4 lifted my jeep 4.5", even though it was done shortly before I bought it I would say they have done a great job, Has got fantastic road manners, and is awesome off the road. I definately wouldn't over look these guys, they know their stuff.

I can personally vouch for Tony's shop. He knows his stuff and they deliver.

In Brisbane, Hammonds are good people from my experience, too. I can also vouch for the ARB people at Capalaba. Very friendly and efficient, though they don't have the range of Jeep bits that Hammonds do.

please pop in to our shop, turn right off the ferry and follow the beach to mordialloc. let us know when your coming so I canmake sure I'm in.

thanks for those recommendations guys, weve been doing what we do for over 14yrs now and were still here so we must be doing something rite with these vehicles. we get many brand newies straight from dealers to lift and there not meant to do it according to the warranty but there prepared to let us do it because we get it rite, unlike some others!!

over the years we have developed a 3.5"/4" XJ lift that runs 9000's, discos etc, etc and runs a 32 with the rite wheel and some rubbish removal. it usually doesnt require a SYE either but its always a good idea. weve done quite a few of the forums guys XJ's and never had a complaint.

the only problem you will have priesty is were usually 3+ weeks booked, and easter isnt helping, any one planning to pop in and get anything done needs to make contact way before then.

crossy, dude, we have repaired, serviced, lifted, rodded jeeps from MB's to the latest gay jays and everything in between. we advise to ARB, WARN, TERAFLEX, RANCHO, BESTOP, COOPER and MICKEY T and work direct for DCJ. etc.

there is a jeep club (MJOC) that had its very first meet at my place too (with ozjeeper ross and I forming it that day). I assure you between our head mech travis and my self we have over 30 yrs of playing round with these rigs, given you run a 04 what do you base your "sigh" on buddy? maybe a moo might be more in order, espessially the nest time I have to tow you home!

Gay Jays?

I'm with you Crossflow - he's a loose canon that just can't get it into his head that offending owners just isn't the way to do business. KJ's aren't my choice of vehicle, but I don't go hanging crap on them - and I don't even have to depend on plenty of KJ owners coming into my store to do business.

I thought he was referring to TJs with the gay jeep tag... Plenty of lads around town drive TJs (and there was a nice black one in Queer as Folk)
