Yep, you've got it right, I sent them a link to the snorkel thread.
They know that a lot of people are waiting for one.

My 2007 WH CRD is going to Gibson RM on Thursday for "development work"
It will take some weeks (October) before we see a final product.
The wait has been worthwhile, I'll keep you posted.

Trip to Gibson RM last Thursday went well, good operators. Made a cast of the WH body took some photos, worked out how they were going to route the tube along the body and partially inside the guard as well.
They already had a nearly completed cast for the WJ that they held up against the WH, hummed & ha'ad, said only minor modifications would be needed to produce one for the WH.
The body cast and snorkel cast are only the first two small steps in the process, they need to prove their theories and then have an alloy mould cast and machined to exact specifications.
From this they will be in a position to produce the first plastic one, do some more testing to my WH before a final fit off.
That's two more trips down to Gibson's for me towards the end of September. With the final fitoff they produce lots of photos, a stick on cut - out / drill guide and a full set of instructions prior to going into production - maybe mid-October or later.
So i guess we're all waiting with baited breath and having to "learn" patience.
Boy, I'm just as keen to get one as anyone, hence my 200km round trip and a ferry ride for development purposes.
cheers johnv

Spoke to Michael at Gibson RM last Friday 19 Sept, he said that they are still about 4 to 6 weeks off the final product, probably toward the end of October.
Lets hope it's sooner rather than later.
Regards johnv
