Default Offical Release Date Jk

I know this should have gone in with the other post but I thought I would throw it here first as its kind of a big deal. I just got off the phone with the QLD Sate sales Manager and he has told me the offical release date for the JK and Compass is 2nd Week in March 12th to 16th. At this time the car will be given the usual press shake down. I have also been told that the first shipment of JK's is on the water as we speak and the 2nd shipment will also be here in time for the Official Release. He also ballparked me a price of approx 40k plus onroads for a 2dr Rubicon.....and by the time I add the hard top and on roads im going to be BROKE Anyway guys I hope this helps all involved and I hope I didnt just open a can of worms.

40-45 thou hey?

32K for a stock TJ, chuck on the mods (lockers, 4:1 tcase, etc), include a warranty on the mods & 40k+ sounds pretty good.

I just received this in an email from my dealer in Adelaide.

I’ve just returned from a weeks leave & I’m going to Melbourne on the 15th Feb for training on the new Wrangler, it’s then that we should receive pricing on the range & options, I’ll keep you posted

I'm after a 4dr Rubicon, but can't get a straight answer on how much less it'll cost with half doors. And when I'll get it.

Do you know if that will be "hands on " training. Or just a sales seminar on options and pricing and technical specs?
The press will have access Mid March thats when the write ups will start as there is a 4WD adventure weekend planned.
Wouldnt mind been a part of that

OK.......

1. There is Sport, Renegade and Rubicon
2. all models come standard with power convenience
3. Renegade (sahara) woohoo thats what im getting, comes with dual top standard, 16" wheels standard 4:10 axle gears, not 100% on tow pack, but does not come with yes essentials interior, only the rubi does
4. APPARENTLY allocations for the 1st boat have already been filled, but a 2nd boat should be arriving for launch mid march
5. jeep dealers will be getting price lists faxed this thurs or firday, not sure about available options though.

yummy yummy. Dont let these dodgy dealers sucker you in with no info, contact the country dealerships, they'll have your business with the good service added, and actually find stuff out for you!

Sethgun,

Thanks for the info about dealers getting price lists by the end of this week ill be sure to go visit my dealer on the weekend and hit him up for some pricing info. I would love to find out more about this training camp posted by Sonik. Anyway hope someone can score some early pics of the cars once they hit, ill be doing some covert down at Rocklea in Brisbane where I think they hold new cars for DC Aust.....thats where there QLD Head office is so everyone keep an eye out in your state and if you get a photo be sure to post it

All I know is what's in that email.

I dont think that nagging my dealer is really going to make much difference. He sounds just as frustrated as the rest of us when it comes to getting info.

My only concern is getting it before the start of the next wet season.

Any time before May is pointless - I'd have to drive it down a 400km dirt track through Arnhem Land from Katherine to Gove with 3 swollen rivers that cut the road. The last thing I want to see is my new Rubi floating down the croc-infested, Goyder river.

But when I do get it, it'll be a sh*t-hot trip.
