Default xj/33s will they fit?

mates got a xj and wants to run 33s,will/can they fit,what mods need to be done(cheaply,yeah i know jeep bits arent cheap)to make em fit,suspension/guards e.t.c..............thanks in advance.........steve

you can run 33's you will need atleast 4.5" lift and new Flares and lots of trimming of the gards...plus rear diff upgrade

yep as kyro says...im looking into it too, and to do it "properly" ie. no half stepping ...it aint cheap...if you want a super35 kit, locked and trussed, you wont get much change out of 3 grand with labour (not including the regearing for front and rear...well while your at it, my as well do that too eh), get a 44 in the rear and it can cost you more (of course you can risk the D35, not recommended!)...now thats just the diff, ...then you need SYE, driveshaft, suspension lift (many options available from cheap and nasty to supremo flex kit), then rims and tyres...not to mention the guard chop...dont think it has much to do with being Jeep, i think if you want to set anything up properly its gunna cost you.

im with dan...if one wants 33s on an XJ there are BIG bucks involved...huge lift, trimming, etc...id pull them off and save up

35' will fit with some minor trimming

i saw some 44's on an xj the other day they loked awsome the xj had lots and lots of cutting done to it and was on a trailer dont know who owned it but it was parked outside west coast suspension in bayswater
