Haven't done the CamPosSens yet as its not the problem as first thought.
Will do one when I get a spare plate as its a cheap easy project and would be good as a spare.

Going to make a project out of the Crank Angle Sensor too. Its only a basic thing which doesnt warrant the price charged either. Only trick will be finding "robust" parts.
Keep me informed on that project.....

went to the wreckers and got another coil spring spacer for the drivers side. They didn't charge me for it. Put it in this morning and it leveled it up nicely.

Put some new 6 inch Sony 200 watt 3 way speakers in the back, bit of mucking around but no problems, actually just managed to fit the stock speaker covers on to maintain the factory look. That left stock speaker was driving me crazy as the cone was split...

Got some 15 x 8" procomp steel rims and fitted some 31 x 10.5: silverstone.s to them. Got the tyres off a mate who had upgraded and the rims of a forum member. Thanks Mario. Removed factory mudflaps and will drive it for the next week (on road only) until I can fit a lift kit next weekend (Has anyone got a 3.5" RE lift kit sitting around doing nothin? lol)

Makes my XJ look a lot wider in it's stance and more like a serious 4WD. Would post pics but it was dark when we finished.

While doing the wheel change I replaced the front discs and found the RHF caliper bracket was badly worn on both edges of the inner pad. Had a friend with the right gear ( cast welding rods) put some meat back on it and ground/filed it back. Works great now and no more squealing from my front brakes!!!

Attempted to make a tray for the 2nd battery but soon realised that my gas conversion stuff was in the way.
Ghetto rigged it. Now it should work. Just need an extension cord for the welder...
