Default 2.7 CRD Code P0235

Hi all - anyone successfully dealt with the P0235 code before on the 2.7 CRD?

I've tried the usual wriggle plugs etc.

Thanks.

It is the code for:

Boost Pressure Sensor Plausibility
Boost Pressure Sensor Signal Voltage Too Low
Boost Pressure Sensor Signal Voltage Too High
Boost Pressure Sensor Signal Voltage Too High Or Low

How old is your battery in the WG?
The elwctronics are known to throw up different codes when there is a too much voltage drop.
The first thing to check should be your battery condition.
I've had a similar problem in the past that was fixed with a new battery and you'll find some older posts on the forum that also suggest this.

Thanks markredgum. Battery age, sg and volts under load are OK.

Ongoing problem this P0235 - any other ideas?

Codes P0836 Tran Case posn sensor, and P0702 Trans Control came up today too just to complicate things.

Local dealer is being helpful but best suggestion is to call in whenever codes come up and they'll clear them for me.

I'm not happy with that solution and want to know why the codes are coming up and what I can do to stop them.

Cheers

As closure for anyone who may experience a similar problem in the future:

More fault codes kept coming up until the car went into permanent limp mode - stuck in 2nd gear and reverse only.

I had ended up changing the battery (needed a spare for the van anyway) as a few of the codes made me think about voltage issues. Made no difference.

Then I got off track reading about the Benz gearbox as several codes pointed there - Benz expert was pretty sure I was experiencing a common Benz box fault due to the limp mode but diagnostics couldn't be 100% sure - so didn't go down that road.

Ended up being poor connections in the main wiring loom that starts out under the battery carrier. Loom opened up, all connections resoldered, and so far so good, no more codes. There is a Jeep service bulletin for poor connections.

I've fixed numerous issues with cars over the years but never had to deal with this before.

Hello,

I have the same problem

Error Code P0235 on 2004 Grand Cherokee 2.7 CRD Overland

Intermittent: Sometimes engine light comes on when I start the vehicle other times not. Sometimes no power when I pull away other times it is fine, sometimes lose power while driving then stop and pull away it is fine, sometimes lose power then switch off and on it is fine. Sometimes gears wont change then switch off and on and gears are fine (this usually happens if I pull away and not let vehicle warm up, not often). Loss of power and engine light is concerning. Also having problems with battery been drained overnight.

my English is very bad. How did you solved it? Show me the picture?
Or tell me step by step?

Regards,
