98 Boot light switch burnt out, how can it be fixed?

Hi guys after a long time looking for a boot light switch I have pretty much come to the realisation that I am not going to be able to get one under $350. Is there any other push button switch that can be adapted to fit the 98 Sport? I looked at 5-6 wrecks and all have a burnt out switch. New is $350 +. Rockauto dont list them. So it seems unless a viable alterantive can be sought I am stuck without a switch that I can use to just turn on to light up the boot only.

i have 2 of them, ill check if they work fine and are not burnt out tomorrow,

Switch to LEDs as well to stop it happening again :)

I pulled the switch out of a front interior lamp assembly, and installed it into the rear light then replaced the bulb with LEDs.

You could get a switch from Jaycar to do the mod if needed... One of the things on my list too!
