Give Mario a call at Moorooka Mechanical in Baldock Street Moorooka. He specialises in 4 x4's. He is not a jeep specialist but certainly works on them.

Forget 4WD or jeep places. best you go looking for a diesel specialist. There should be a few that do work/have done work on VM industrial/marine engines. If you have a fuel system problem look for a Bosch place.

Ok so avoid hammonds cheers for the advice. have had a google search but cant really find anything about VM specialists. I am working down south at the moment but will get on the phone when I get home. It just hard as any old mechanic can tell me hes experienced in these engines then charge the arse out of me. Am beginning to lean towards doing some serious homework and maybe doing the work myself

yellow pages diesel mechanics & make some phone calls.
Some one tell me if I am wrong, I think Detroit is the agent for VM in Australia. Maybe ask them.

I see a diesel XJ on ebay at the moment. It looks like it is partly disassembled, the IP is off. Not yours is it?

Nah mate not mine. I have been told by many mechanics to sell it as none want to touch a jeep but couldnt bring myself to do it! i just love the shape and colour and size etc. I could save up and buy a 4wd lux or something but there is just something about my jeep that suits me i think. Where can i find detriot is it a mechanic shop?
