So I've had to run my road tyres (desert dueler 31x10.5) for economy and to save my muddies.
Running on stock rims and have a few problems:
1) it looks stupid with 5" lift
2) it looks stupid with bushwhacker flares
3) tyres rub on my superflex control arms near full lock
4) 10.5 sidewall bulges a lot
5) it looks really silly and narrow!

I'm thinking wider rims with less backspacing is the answer.

What other brand steelies will fit?

Where the he'll can u buy sunraysia rims from?! They seem to be an option but can't find a stockist.

I'd prefer a cheap 2 hand option...

Ok so only 3 and 4 are real problems. It's the bulging sidewall that bothers me most since there are some rough roads around here and I don't wanna puncture!

Go to an 8" wheel with 4.75-4.00 backspacing (depending on where you want it to rub) and it'll look a lot better.

Mine has 35x12.5 tyres on 15X8 and 4.75" backspacing. I had to adjust the steering stops but it doesn't rub anywhere now until big flex and then it's only on the spring tower so a nice smooth area.

Cheers
Steve

15x8 with 3.75 back spacing will do it, especially with the flares you have.

i have "Dick Cepec" branded rims and they look great with 4 inch lift

Just thinking 5x8" would be better than 5x7". Do u know what offset/ backspacing they have? I think I want the inside/ outside rim out 1" from where it is now. Would rub on control arms less and give me a wider track for a bit of stability (and fill out my bushwhackers more!) :-)

On a standard flared 1995 they were about 25mm to wide. The previous owner needed wider flares. They are 4" back space. They are black and have the round hole pattern.

Sounds good, do you have some pics?
Will they bolt right onto an XJ hub without modification?
How much are you chasing for them? :-)
