ABS/ cruise control

Im looking at buying an update model and transferring all the good bits over to it and have decided that a 98-99 will suit however, the 98 im looking at is a sport but looks to have leather/cruise controls on the wheel but unsure of ABS. I didnt think sports models came with leather but what years did they start coming out with the cruise control?(controls on steering wheel)?.
Been searching a bit and would you guys agree that 98-99 seem to be the best of the updates? ie; HP D30, possible 8.25 and full length roof rack rails etc
