Hey there everyone,

Thought I would introduce myself and say hi, and see what everyone is up to in the Jeeping world of Oz.

I'm an Aussie, migrated to the US 4 years ago and living in Colorado. Love everything to do with Jeep wheeling, camping in remote locations, exploring new trails and have a JK Rubicon Unlimited.

Here's my little stocker, before I started with the mods.

Cool....I'm in the Rockys, takes me about 1.5 hours to Littleton. Been there quite a few times. I'm originally from Adelaide, but don't hold that against me....

As for my baby, it's in California being modded. Should be finished in about 3 weeks, I hope.

I hope it's not being modded by the boys from " PIMP MY RIDE", you will end up with a spa in the back and 15 TV's

The rubi ??? what can I say, do you have all night ? I'll have to start a build thread with photos, just too much to cover here, but here is a quick list:

EVO front and rear double throwdowns.
EVO front bumper and stinger.
EVO body armor and fenders.
EVO Tire Carrier.
EVO Skins.
EVO Long Arm.
EVO Rock Sliders
LoD Rear Bumper.
Warn 9.5 CTI.
Rigid 50" Light Bar.
Rigid 20" Stinger Light Bar.
Rigid Dually D2 Windshield Lights.
Currie AntiRock Sway Bar.
6.4 VVT Hemi.
Atlas 4 speed.
LiteDot's.
Truck-Lite LED Headlights.
TMD Hood.
Rock Hard Roll Cage.
PSC Ram Assist.
Walker Evans Beadlocks.
Toyo MT's 40 x 15.5 x 20
Custom On Board Air.
Custom camera / video system, front, rear and sides.

As for moving to Colorado, between shoveling snow, icy roads, when it hits -34C everyone says it's a bit cold, and only 3 snow-free months per year.....no regrets....:hump:
But seriously, the scenery is awesome. And I get to spend some winter months down south in SoCal, AZ, TX so I do get heaps more summer time than just Colorado. Here are some photos.

Mama and baby moose in my front yard.

I'm short, but not that short. About 5'8".

The Jeep is sitting on 40's and the lift is at about 8" to 10" but I'll drop the lift to about 5" to 6" once finished. I had it that high so I could work under it without jacking up the Jeep.

I'll definitely be taking wheeling photos when it's finished. Planning on some major trail runs.

If anyone is over this way for vacations, your have a place to stay. The guest wing is always ready for guests....:D

And if you want to go wheeling, there are some awesome trails we could do !!!

Moab is already on my hit list. It's only 5 hours drive from home.

Nice move mate, and good choice of shops to do the full build I'm sure Mel and Andrew will take care of your Rubi!! They do same of the best JK's around and I deal with them as their Oz dealer.
-30 I know all about it!! I'm from Canada now living in WA and I don't miss the cold seen -42 but I do miss the snow and the peace that comes with it. All the power to the Rockies :)

Were you over there at EVO recently? Mel told me the Oz dealer was there and later showed me a photo of you (???) in front of the shop.

If it was you then you were there the same time as my Jeep. I'm sure you would have gone into the workshop, mine is the red JK with the body lifted off the frame.

No that wasn't me, I'm a lot better looking ;) and wouldn't be caught dead in the hot shorts :)-(:. I'm the guy that actually sales and stocks EVO gear.
But as soon as I saw your pic of the JK in the shop I knew where it was. That's a huge build you have going, wish we could legally do that here!

ok....that wasn't you, but the shorts weren't that bad........hahaha

I've been reading various threads on this forum and was surprised at how retricted you are, or the extent you need to go through to get approval. I always knew the regulations were tighter from when I lived in Aus, but had no idea to what extent until I saw what was going on here, and then started reading this forum. I assume their rules are designed for the general public's safety, but I'm sure some would debate the issue.
