As most of you know. My XJ last week crapped itself by pumping coolant into the box.

Been sitting at my mates workshop for quite a few days now and he has not drained the box to get the crap out of it. He is flat out and has not been able to get onto it.

So my baby is sitting there with a box full of coolant eating it away.

He will get onto it on Monday but I am sure I am going to need another box.

Who here in SE Brisbane has one that works and is good and how much?

PM me if you wish.

And do you know the history of it?

I don't want one that's going to last me 5 minutes.

I picked up second hand one that I could start and run to check, it cost me 400.00.
I was quoted 3500.00 for a rebuild.

first thing i do when buying an auto car is disconnect the trans cooler from the radiator and run a separate cooler, easy with the jeep as it came equipped that way.

small comfort for you now, i know, but what ever way you go i would recommend not re connecting to the radiator.

Dazza.

I should (hopefully) have my car back t/m.

I'll let you know how it goes and if I need it I'll pm you mate.
Cheers for that.

Steve,my mechanic asked me today do I wan't a job in his workshop to which I replied a very stern "NO THANKS".

Will pay top money but "NUP".

I would not go back into the trade for anything.
