Went out today for a spin. I basically reversed into a tree at slow speed ( was resting against on it and reversed)

Now the tailgate bows in at the top. Any ideas on how to get it straight again?

i once saw a guy bend his tailgate like a bannana on the american forum so he with his 37's rested the tailgate between two steps and repeated to drive over it until it was straight... well straighish

I dont recommend it but food for thought ahah ;)

Depending on exactly where (and how bad) it might be possible to pop it out using the stock rear tyre carrier and a decent ratchet strap.

Back up to a solid pole or tree, run the strap around it and through the tyre carrier.
If you need a bit more grunt, try driving forward extremely slowly with a spotter to tell you when to stop.

I'm guessing that method would rip the tyre carrier right off if done too enthusiastically but might help if the dent is in the right spot.

Doubt you would get it good as new but there are plenty of aftermarket tailgate skins that bolt on as well.
