Tj axle issues -.-

Hey everyone as you may or may not know my wheel and axle 'departed' my car while driving down the road and i got the fixed now it's leaking out the axle seal again why?!

..............seal hasnt worn a groove in the axle has it?

I have also cleaned my diff breathers cleaned because I heard that if the breather is clogged it has nowhere to go so it blows out the pinion and axle seals? Help please

You got another axle didn't you? So it's not the same one that came off? Who did the repair? I'd guess they have damaged the seal when installing the axle as you have only done a short amount of km since the repair.

speed sleve on axle should fix it

maybe they fitted the seal on back to front

An I asked that they said that th deal can only go one way

so if it has new seal new axle then clearly old mate has hurt the seal putting the axle back in...take it back and tell him to fix it

it is only meant to go on one way, but it can be inadvertantly fitted the wrong way.

seen this done by mistake many times, either that or the seal was damaged during assembly

Yeah Righto well Friday it's going back and they fixing it free

I realised I had the seal on the wrong way about 10 seconds after I pressed the retainer on..... Doh!.... Caused me great pain to cut off a brand new bearing......

Well I got the jeep back from te mechanics and it's leaking again they put a new seal in and now my brakes on that corner are locking up too can I just adjust it to fix the lockup problems and any ideas? -.-

Did they put RTV on the outside edge of the seal where it contacts the axle or did they put it on dry? The seals should have a little RTV on them or they can cause problems leaks.

I feel for you Creepers,you must be ready to rip someones head off.
It is probably something really simple(to someone who knows Jeeps).
