Not too sure but I remember reading that the Ox Locker cover hits the RHD track bar or tie rod. Think it can be fixed with a grinder. Again not sure how true this is.
Interested to hear the results though, I like the idea of having a cable to engage it. Seems more reliable and easier to fix than air.

Good luck. Not sure about the "simple setup", any locker replacing the hemisphere isn't what I'd put in the simple category of mods; for a Dana diff anyway.

I ran them in a 44 and a 60.
the machining work in the hemisphere is exeptional.
Easy to set up as with any diff gear replacement.
The cable may need readjustment after a run inperiod. The adjustment on the cable is the only tricky bit. Other than that they are a good locker.

They are a good locker bit fiddley setting up the cable ran this in the wifes car fitted new bearings on secondhand 3.73s out of an auto set up went fine but we never did as was stated and to grind a small amount of the end of the pinion as it all worked ok.

Come 6 months latter we find it keeps jumping out of being locked no matter how we adjusted the cable pulled it all down and bingo the piece that moves to lock up the diff is just touching the pinion bit of grinding all is good.

well hit a wee snag when fitting locker.....diff housing has a bend in it,,,,dont muck round when i brake things:D...so the whole housing coming out ,new one going in ,,have a spare but have not long ago put longer arms on the old girl,,,so will have a bit of cutting ,grinding welding to be done,,,,,

cost me just on 2k landed plus the gst man hit me for a nother $260:rolleyes:,,

so still not done yet...will truss new diff housing ....

wee update...locker works a treat.......but smoked the trans......:(...so in a brain fart moment out on the river thought i would slide under and have lookies........long story short the thing rolled backwards and cleaned me up........night in hosp hooked up to machines,,,broke a few ribs ,,nerve damage down back / shoulder ...and bruzed heart......oh and pride....so yeah been around 4bees for a few years now and got a bit slack with safty and got bit.....so take a sec before diving in so to speak.....worst part is trans in for rebuild.........now that hurts....

as you were......:p

quote re water pump,,,,,,,,

FlowKooler water pumps solve low-speed overheating problems by doubling the water flow rate at low RPM & idle. At 3,500 RPM the flow rate returns to normal to prevent excess water flow at high speed. Independent testing has proven that FlowKooler water pumps produce 20% more gallons per minute at 2000 RPM and 100% more gallons per minute at 900 RPM than any other pump on the market today, including expensive racing pumps. FlowKooler pumps also generate 22% more water pressure inside the engine block than other water pumps. This increased pressure helps suppress engine hot spots, steam pockets, and pinging. In addition to higher output, the FlowKooler water pump is up to 32% more efficient than other pumps, meaning less horse power is required to turn it. The result is overall lower operating temperature by as much as 30 degrees when cruising at low speeds. All pumps are brand new (not rebuilt) and are covered by a 2 Year Limited Warranty.

I have that truss on my xj, its still a roller but it looks the goods. I have no pics on this computer. im no pro welder, but I just heated up the cast with an oxy and welded to it, then wrapped in in a fire blanket and wrapped that in drop sheets and left it overnight. no cracks have shown up.
Make sure you weld the truss to the tubes in short sections and let it cool to prevent warping the tubes

i like IRO, I have their y link front long arm kit. I have sleeved my diff years ago, im not sure what brand and I had some1 else do the welding. i used IRO c gussets that i had from ages ago but hadn't fitted, i cant remember if i had to heat up the C before welding, but mine all turned out ok. make sure you strip back the c before welding, i didn't properly and the welds starteted out shitty.
with sleeve, truss, c gusets, ARB locker(i havnt had a problem with) 4.56 gears and RCV axles, i think i have just about maxed the d30 for strength, im planning to run 35s on my xj, but i did run 37s before the truss and gussets with no breaks.
i have bent an inner c on 31s before:( im not sure what happened, but the ball joint and axle broke and the whole out C and wheel came off...
