Hey guys
I have a 2009 KK Cherokee limited with 3.7L

Ive noticed that it is slowly dripping coolant

Ive gone under the car and couldnt really track it, and its intermittent, with the car running I cant even see it happen

I think it might even be happening after the car cools down

Anyway, I had a look under the hood, and found some dried up coolant stains prodominantly around/underneath the radiator cap. Its probably coming out of there, and then the fans are probably blowing it all over the place.

I can see that the centre part of the top of the radiator cap even shows a bit of the pink coolant

The part number for the OEM cap is 55116897AA , 18psi cap

I done a google search, and found people complaining of that cap leaking/spraying, but on the Grand Cherokee in the states

http://www.cherokeesrt8.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48327

According to these guys, they claim the radiator cap part number was super ceded by Dodge part 4596198 , a 17psi cap

Even this yankee site is selling it for the KK Liberty 3.7

I was going to ring the local Jeep spares, but they've proven to not be a lot of help to me in the past with my KJ..

So my question is

1. Has anyone else had this issue
2. Would you just go straight for the apparent 17psi Dodge replacement, and are there any issues doing so?

no one had this problem? weird that so many people in the states have this issue

nevermind, i phoned a different jeep spares to the one i usually ring, and they confirmed the 18lbs radiator cap has been superseded by the 17lbs cap part number

ill go with that...

purchased the superceeded part number 4596198 (which replaces the original jeep part 55116897AA , and is now a 17lbs instead of 18lbs)
problem fixed
thanks
