Hi,

I'm kicking around in my head a few ideas for wiring up fans and other accessories that i only want active when the engine is running.

I know I can tap into the ignition, and this will give me something that is close, but in doing it this way, they will be active when starting, and that isnt what i want!

Is there a signal / wire / circuit somewhere I can tap into that is only active when the engine is running? Maybe tap into the alternator output, and when it produces power, it activates the relay?

Is there any other way to do it?

Open to suggestions / ideas etc

I have all my accessory's(fridge) and caravan power switched from my “park lights”.
Yes you have to remember to turn you parker’s on but the “lights on buzzer” means I switch them off and no more flat battery.
