2000 XJ limited - no mods or lift

For some reason this XJ is swaying left to right when driving more than 40km / hour.

Ive checked underneath and all bushings / tie rods / track bar seem fine.

Bushings on sway bar need replacing but I cant see how his is the cause because that would be if you turned? The swaying happens when driving straight.

Could it be just an alignment or stabiliser? Track Bar?

I thought alignments are only needed when you let go of the steering wheel and the Jeep steers left or right?

Theres no shaking of the steering wheel either?

Could very well be alignment related. Mine will 'tram-line' if the alignment is out.

How is the tyre condition and what sort of tyres do you have, ie H/T, A/T, M/T's etc has anything changed tyre wise including air pressure????

Had it aligned today, checked tie rods, track bar etc - all good.

The problem has to be the steering box - which probably makes sense because when you turn there is a delay, especially around corners.

I know where the box is - but do I loosen or tighten? Which is which is which?

Is the steering box mounting bolts tight, is there any signs of cracking around the mounting holes?

If it is the steering box it would be a wander rather then a sway....
