Yes I have just done my back brakes. My left was leaking. If your brake shoes are not worn out, you can get away with just cleaning the shoes with brake clean & replacing the cups in the wheel cylinder after a light hone. When I did mine a couple of weeks ago the cups (3/4") were $2.50 each. So if you are able to do it yourself, its a hour job & $5 a side job & a 1/2 bottle of brake fluid. Best do both sides.

Wheel cylinders are about $25 each, pair of cups $5.
I didnt want to risk damaging anything like brake lines so I didnt remove the cylinders. As they are cast iron, honing works well. I used an aldi dremil type tool with a emery paper drum all wet with brake fluid.. Worked a treat. I used to just use 120 wet&dry soaked in brake fluid wrapped around my finger & give the bore a good rub. have done many brake & clutch cylinders in the past. its an easy job. You can normally see the ware on the cups when they are compared to new ones.
The spares you have will probably need rebuilding if you ever want to use them again. I think you can also get a piston kit for about $15 that has the piston, cup & dust cover.
Important to put some brake grease on the pistons before use so they dont seize.
When doing front brakes, its a good ides to wipe the pistons clean before retracting them into the caliper. Any hard baked crap that remains on the piston wall when retracted can damage the seal.

I would wait until its been cleaned up before commenting.
It looks like the cups have been leaking for a while.
I would not be using those shoes. The bonding glue is probably softened by the brake fluid.
The best guide to the cylinder is what it looks like after a light hone.
Mine looked much worse than that one. it all comes nice & clean with a bit of water.

hahah i had the same problem a few days ago..from what i understand they are 3/4" external diameter.

what model and year is your Cherokee ?

mine was a 99xj 2.5 tdi with no abs.. i had a standard 9" wheel hub, and had to get the 21mm bore.

the bit of info that may help the 22.5mm bore is a different part no for each side, where as the 21mm bore is the same for both sides.

thats good. repco werent very helpful for me though. i ended up going through ABS. If you have a bit more time up your sleeve next time, ive seen this website pop around the forum a bit, they seem to have competitive prices

http://4x4point.com.au/cart/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=38_39

drums for example abs want 105 a side, repco had none in stock and this guy is asking 70. i think thats a win!

If the cylinders are the same as a 96Xj they are $20 from Supercheap auto.
Apparently numurous vehicles use the same cylinder...

I was surprised since I had just gotten a blank look from Repco...

The good thing about brake grime is it washes off easily with just soap & water. No degreaser required.
