Bit of a knock

After this weekend I have noticed a knocking ish noise from under the jeep. It gets worse when coasting.

When at a compleat stop there is nothing. I have been under the car and shook everything nothing seems loose or out of place.

It's very hard to fault find due to no noise when not moving!!

Any ideas?

Idea 1 ~ uni joint is crook.
Idea 2 ~ tighten all mounts & suspension bolts.

Put Jeep on stands and test in all modes 2x4 and 4x4 hi n lo.Lay underneath and listen.Also use a small pinch bar to try n get movement between suspension components and all mounts.

turns out when I put it into 4wd the noise increases 10 fold! it sounds more like something is binding now.

Its defiantly gonna cost me!

I will try putting it on stands this weekend. I might not know exactly what I am looking at but I hopefully can work out which bit the sound is coming from!

If its the front drive shaft it will knock more when you apply the brakes, angle changes as the nose dips. The drive shaft may seem ok because it runs nearly straight. you have to get in close and leaver the uni to make shaw they are ok.
