mounting winch control box???

hey guys finaly got around to putting the winch on the car i have a rugged ridge winch bar and am wondering were you mount the control box?
i have seen some mounted to the two cross bars that are on the winch but dunno what to search to get the bracket for that can you guys post some pics of what you have done to give me some ideas? happy to put it under the bonnet would be a neat finish any help would be apreciated thanks

Arb or any good winch supplier should be able to supply various brackets that enable you to mount your control box to your winch.

Personally, if or are wanting to mount it under the bonnet, throw away the standard solenoid pack and go with an Albright solenoid or similar. Smaller, and more reliable. Then wire it in cab to a switch unit, with external mounted buttons so you can also control things from the front of the vehicle if required.

I mounted my std control box under the brake booster, the place where the yanks battery sits.

I decided to install my solenoid box in the engine bay.

I have used 50mm2 welding cables for all electrical connections to minimise voltage drop. I drilled a few holes to relocate/permanently mount my front licence plate. Here is the finished product:

The main safety switch is through a ignition powered source (safety is paramount with kids around). It has LED toggle switch to indicate when its armed:
