Tailgate glass

Does anyone know what year XJ's have the same tailgate glass as the '98 ?? I'm looking for one. Or am I better off buying a whole tailgate.

Hi there. Not sure of compatability but I have a complete tail gate. Metallic green from an 01. Was hoping not to separate the glass. Was keeping it for spare but if it sells, I won't miss it. :)

If the pre updates fit, Salisbury wreckers have a complete xj there. Maybe able to get glass from it.

you can buy a new glass and fit it yourself for around $200

i ended up just getting the tailgate, found one for $50 and was the same color. if you haven't fitted panels before it can be a bit painful and might need another two people to position the tail gate while you tighten the hinges.
