I'm still having problems with my ignition not switching of via the key, some lighting circuits shut down but the engine keeps running even with the key removed. Have tried replacing the actual ignition switch block on the column, but when I did, I connected the electrical plug into it the wiring harness started smoking ended up destroying the wiring back to the handbrake switch.
Tried the key in the switch and had nothing, no power anywhere. Put the old switch block back in and can start the car but still can't shut it off.
I'm at a loss where to look next. this thing is issing me off big time.
Anyone have any ideas what it might be.
