service before or after Fraser Island?

Hi Guys,

I need a little advice from more experienced 4wdrivers,

I am going to Fraser in a few weeks and I'm wondering if I should service my jeep before going of after?, I've done 95.000kms in my jK; 96K is a major service which I can do a bit earlier, transmission fluids will be changed, spark plugs and general consumables.

I've always over serviced my jeep :) and I love doing it!! but should I wait to come back? or do it before? I will do probably 100kms more before I go, so I will still be under 96k.

any thoughts? by the way, my jeep is stock, just stock size muddies installed. and geared to 4.56, (I know, I know... I use a lot of petrol, but I never need to slip my clutch) lol

I wouldn't be too stressed about the scheduled service. A thousand km here or there doesn't make a huge difference.

I would be more worried about general driveline condition. Wheel hubs uni joints etc. Nothing to be massively concerned about buy worth a check.

Worthwhile checking fan belt and tensioner and fan clutch if applicable.
