Toying with the idea of making adjustable upper and lower arms as I did for my car so logicaly why not long arms just need to see were they bolt on would also like to give a belly plate ago but would have to be on a car thats got a body lift of 2 inches and maybe sye other wise the rear angles would be to steep the adjustable arms would be stronger than stock arms

Just be careful for insurance purposes Dudoop, I've also toyed with the idea of making adjustable upper for mine but if your workmanship fails then you've got all sorts of problems.

As you can see with my pics that the long arms just attach to a bracket that is placed aorund the chassis rail inbetween the trannie case plate and chassis.

The only problem I had with mine was the standard exhaust hitting one of the bolts, but fixed that now.

Another long arm idea 4 ya dudoop, i cant rember where i seen this but what they did was run the upper control arms from the chassis to the center of the diff (like most long arm kits now) BUT then they put a sub frame in right behind the transfer box and run the lower control arms from the outer edges of the diff (about same place as where the stock lower arms mount) to this new sub frame (the mounts were just each side of the drive shaft). Do u no what i mean, the purpose of this was to protect the drive shaft a bit more but mostly to prevent getting hung up and the damage of the lca, iv seen alot of pics of damaged arms on the rubi express kits.

I'll try and find some pics,i might make more sense then, mayb, hopefully :?

This forum has an excellent, local supplier listing maintained by Wooders. Please consider it, and support your local AU suppliers and fabricators.

An added benefit of sourcing components from local suppliers is their expertise with RHD, understanding of AU street legalities, and their ability to provide "local" after sales service.

Folks such as Suburban, USA 4x4, Footo and the many others in there, have been around too long not to be good. Consider them, their wealth of expertise and range of products both local and imported will certainly impress.
