Tie Rods

Does anyone who where i can get a new tie rod.
I'm sure i've seen a post in here somewhere, where someone had a really flexible one.
I'd like to know more, as i bashed mine fairly hard this week end.

I bought this from Toys by Troy, thru Jason at 4x4Groupbuy.
It is quite beefy and heavy for aluminium.
Cost $130usd + shipping.Iam very happy with it. :)

Wooders got the alumi flextie rod of ebay...i think he said he got it around 240 landed...i've been lookin but they haven't got anymore recently...mytjeep has changed his into a chromoly one i think from eddie not sure how much **)

These Tie rods are the new version, bigger diameter and claimed to flex up to 8".
TBT is now working on a Long Arm kit made from these, or similar. A good concept since many ppl bend there CA's. I think Stu Olsen is testing them.

Also DirtJeep do these use the standard TJ tie rod end or a beefed up one similar to a ZJ? :mrgreen:

Yes, Lexx, mine is fitted to the standard rod ends. I got my local tyre shop to fit it and realign the wheels-$40.
Stu Olsen has 1 ton Chevy rodends on his. 8)

Yup I paid $240aussie landed for my Flex Tie rod....and although I'm still running the stock sized ends - the flex seems to aleviate some of the stress...I'm VERY happy with it and would recommend one anyday....
