Thanks Andy, I thort we would break something on the first trip out as this cj has not been on the road since 1997(as far as I know) but all went well! I found some small problems, The fuel pump could not keep enough flow to the carb, new one next week and I found it likes to wheel spin as you can see in the 2nd photo from all the black smoke.(but excess power is not a problem) :D

Still running the Motorcraft carby?
Still relying on the mechanical fuel pump?

Time to mod the AMC stuff.
Task one - rat around all the wrecking yards and find a Rambler 4 port inlet intake manifold (fits all AMC/Chrysler/Rambler) and we will talk about some off-road stuff you can do on the carby...

tease!

Ian has killed it already, hit the oil filter with the axle, and cracked the timing cover or something like that. :-x

Thanks that manifold is from what kind of engine out of a rambler?. sorry I am not up with them.... I want a 4 barrel carb on her but I don't know what manifold to run so is this the only one that will fit?
Thanks.
