Hi People
Just about to purchase a set of the arb rock sliders. just wondering if you have to put something in behind them to stop mud and water getting in there and rusting the body. Anyone with any info or advice on installing these would be greatly appreciated.

if your worried about it.. I reckon just run a nice bead of silicone along the edge of the slider and the car ,doing this befor ethe car gets taken anywhere to prevent anything getting in.
but from what Ive seen.. you shouldnt really need to worry about it.

If you want to be extra safe, run two beads of silicone. ;)

Don't run silicon - mosture WILL still get in and then it won't get out.
Firstly make sure anly holes you drill are touched up with paint.
Then if you are really concerned use some really thin rubber sheets stuck the the step (not the body) to seperate.
Lastly just remove & clean it every so often.

Thanks guys. So I will probably just take them off every now and then and clean under them. Has anyone with these sliders had any probs with them or installing them that I should know about.

Dead easy to install, just take your time and do it right first time.

Not so easy to take off and wash as there are a heap of rivets to drill out and reinstall if you do this..
