Does anyone have any pics or links of a jeep ute concept or modified vehicle. I think the one I am after was a japanese built one. I know of the jeep gladiator concept but the other one was alot better looking.

Me Rikey very much.
Beats just putting a rear deck on it and using a bikini!
Slightly beats the timber half-top idea too.

It also makes it FBT exempt for those with company vehicles....

Thought it had to be 1 tonner to be FBT proof?

Definately not!! but basically if its "primarily designed for carrying passengers" you pay fbt. My old Maloo R8 (395kg of load carrying capacity) was FBT exempt and was a terrific tax lurk.

Heres the latest updated vehicle list from the ATO.

here (http://law.ato.gov.au/atolaw/view.htm?locid='MTR/MT2024A3/NAT/ATO')

Its doesn't list everything but you get the idea.

Millions of dollars of R&D and they use the 100 year old design Snork.
You think AEV would come up with something a little more stylish.
Like the depature angle cut away with a rail too.

If it aint broke, dont fix it!
the snorkle works like it should, ugly as it may be, it works, same for the rails.
I do agree though, I'd like to see an intake at the rear of the cab, low profile but wide, like a prime mover.

Here is a link for a hard half top. Probably the easiest way to convert your TJ into a ute lookalike.

Just an observation - but it seems funny that most of these utes have big buck upgrades.....and yet the ROP is IMHO probably less than stock......
I mean you'd really think they'd at least put on a seperate rear hoop or something......

edit - Re TUF15H - the current owner has bought a few items off us - but really the kudos goes to Sub for building it (& the original owner for specing/paying for it ;)).....
