Finally got around to installing the Rockcrusher diff hats.

..but I've ended up with a slight leak coming from where the axle meets the diff housing. Is this an easy fix?

The diff centre and axles need to come out to replace the axle seals. Not hard for someone who knows what they are doing. Ive never seen the oil come out of there though. When the seals fail the oil normally comes out the very end of the axle tube. I would wipe it clean and see if it comes back to see if it was just a bit of spillage from when you took the diff cover off before.

I actually had that thought this morning waiting to be picked up. When I re-filled the new oil there was a splash from the filler tube that could have made it to the top of the diff.
Was stressing me a little as it was fresh oil coming from the weep.

the fill plug on those rock crusher covers are a tad over 2" higher than standard covers.
therefore the oil level is higher. and with oil churning, can cause the seals to leak if they were already a bit sus.

Yeah I was on to the higher plugs, the back diff took almost 2.5ltrs of oil and I can't touch the oil level with my finger bent down through the plug. Front took about 1.6ltrs and I could just reach the oil. Seals shouldn't be suss as the Jeep is only 9 months old.
I've washed off the weep but haven't been for a run yet as I'm in a company ute during the week. Will see if it comes back later.

They are Rancho's, I paid for a full 2.5" kit. Not sure that they are available by themselves though.
Wish the uppers were the same :(
