Jut wondering if anyone here is running any of Rancho's 4" lift kits? Or know of anybody who is. I would like to know how they handle on & off road and also "Pros & Cons with their kits. I'm looking at thier kit and also 1 from Skyjacker but I am unsure which kit would be better

Cheers for any feed back

I know someone who has bought the 4 inch Skyjacker short arm kit. He has never been offroad with it only drives it on the street now and again. Bit of understeer but he seems to like it from the few reports he has given me. If you want specifics let me know as I work with him and I am on here every day.

I think you'll find the Rancho 4" kit is really the 2.5" kit some of us are running.

G'day Guys, Cheers for the feedback. The main thing I need to know is the quality of their products. eg. do their springs sag like OME and what sort of joints do they use on the ends of the control arms etc. I don't want it for competition, mainly for general 4WDing and is a DD so I don't want to be replacing parts too often. The kit i'm looking at is definately 4" model number is rs6506 and their comp setup is rs6505.

Cheers

I have this full kit

It looks like you are looking at the same kit! If so then it is not a 4" but only 2.5"

G'day VMAN, Maybe I was mistaken with the rs6506 kit. maybe it is the rs6505 kit that is 4". Rancho claim you can run 33's on there rs6506 kit and 35" on their rs6505 kit. how does your kit perform? do you think you could squeeze 33's under the guards at full flex?

i think if u look in the rancho catalog the 4" is the the rockcrawler kit with 4" springs

Not quite full flex but a good indication of 33's on the Rockcrawler 2.5" suspension.

I know with the Skyjacker lift, the coils they use are very different than OME.
One of the reasons Skyjacker is usually a little more expensive is due to the quality of chromium alloy steel they use in their coils and also the steel they use in the lower control arms.

I counted 13 coils on the 4 inch one. Thats impressive.
