been having a bit of rough idling lately after changing my plugs 2000 km's back so decided to do a full dizzy, rotor and wires change over. went to repco, cap and rotors in sydney and wires 78 bucks! even the owner behind the counter jumped when he saw that.

Anyways, being impatient decided to ring around perth and trace some down. called up the local stealership and he wouldn't even talk to me until i gave him my VIN number as he said they couldnt get the right cap without the VIN. :hammer:
is this chrysler jeep trying to big brother us all or is the VIN really necessary????

i got Auto 1 shipping me one from the eastern states and are charging me 35 bucks for the wires which seems more reasonable but wanted to make sure they have ordered the right parts. Cheers!

Retarded Parts people who do everything by computer cant cope without a VIN.
It gives them a manufacturing date, and (allegedly) enough info to give you the right part first time.
