For those that don't know, like me, can you tell us why we would need one of these?
You say sway bar shifting? Under what circumstances? Is this only for certian lifts? etc..

your sway bar sometimes works its way all the way over to one side..
this brakcet would keep the sway bar central Im not actually sure of any other purpose other than its a pain in the arse when connecting and disconnecting your sway bar links so this makes it less of a probblem.

Yeah HG is right on the money. When you lift your truck the swaybar has a tendancy to shift accross to the left. This creates two problems.
1) The swaybar becomes alot more difficult to reconnect as it doesnt line up with the locating pins. Hammers, crowbars ppl standing on front bars are just one way of helping reconnecting swaybar links.
2) When the swaybar shifts over to one side Ifind with my alloy rims (non offset) my tyre hits the swaybar on full lock and this chews off the corner of the lugs on the tyre.
These little clamps will keep the swaybar from shifting so eleviating these 2 problems.

or about $2.50 each from bunnings, supercheap or exhaust shop.

should do pretty much the same thing if you got the correct diameter.

I am interested in where you got your shaft collar? Was it local or from the web site you listed (and is that part No. correct)? It looks like it is a Black Oxide - is that right and how long have you had it on? Did you consider a stainless or even a nylon collar (to minimise corrosion probs)?
