Hi Guys / Gurls

stumbled across your site when looking for an answer to my underpowered jeep problem , figured I may as well join and hang about for a bit .

I got a 97 XJ turbo diesel , 3 inch lift .. 31 tyres .. recently imported snorkel and a wish list as long as my arm

and it lives in a wet lincolnshire village in the uk

not many pictures uploaded at the minute , but a bit of english footage for you all

Howzit,

South Africa, Rustenburg (sheepishly I say) just moved there from Johannesburg.

I have just acquired a Navy Blue 2002 Jeep Cherokee 2.5CRD (love Turbo Diesels, scary, but they are exciting engines). No pics as yet as I haven't got as far as home to take some. Check KJ posts and you'll see why.

Joined a couple days before buying said vehicle, trying to get some feeling for what I was getting myself in for. Excellent Forum, very glad to have found it.

Pics will follow as soon as it is on the move again.

OK Im now officially from out side of Oz.
Not that I have a Jeep here (YET!) Havent seen any sight of any kind of Jeep or Chrysler vehicle, there is a Hummer dealer here, Yodas and Mazdas, Jag dealer but aint seen one on the road, saw a Maybach and a Rolls today, uncommon anywhere else.
Im in beautiful down town Taipa, Macau SAR,China.

No mud here, no tracks, lucky to find anything with more than 4 cylinders....
Police cars are Carollas, or worse Vitaras, most people ride 50cc Scooters and you're lucky to go faster than 60 anywhere.

The JK RUBICON is running a 3" bastardized lift (ZONE/OME/JKS/RE/Custom) with 33x12.5-17 Pro-Comp X-treme MT's wrapped around 17x9" black DC-1 wheels, MOPAR front winch bumper w/ WARN M8000 and disco skid, AEV snorkel, AEV Pro-CAL, MOPAR rear bumper with swing out tire carrier, MBRP roof rack, Dynatrac Diff covers and as soon as I get some time there will be some 5:13 gears installed.
Also still searching for a suitable roof basket, may just have to fab up my own...

I currently have 2 Jeeps. I've owned 4 and need to work to dig up some pics of the other 2, plus some more of the ones I have. I currently have a TJ, and an KJ, and have owned 2 XJs.

I have already posted pics of the TJ in this thread:

http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44936

I have a KJ Liberty as we call them here in America. You guys call them Cherokees although they are far from Cherokees in my opinion. The pictures of the KJ are pictures from when we first got it while we we're still living in Texas, but no mods have really been done to this vehicle cause it's actually my wife's daily driver. Honestly in the mean time you haven't missed much. Only wear and tear that small children give to a vehicle buy spilling juice boxes and food, people steeling center caps from your rims, and yes your wife side swiping a safety pillar at a gas station and taking off the outer layer of paint on the passenger side rear door and fender in the process. Ugh... such as life and a vehicle can't be new forever. Oh and I guess our passenger side would be your driver's side. Or right hand side as we call it in the automotive industry.

Oh by the way, JIMGEO those fenders and that front bumper is huge! Do you guys have some crazy fender rules or something? It's bizzare. No offense. But I love the HID headlights.

Canjeep what happened to your XJ? It was sexy ride! I always wanted an 98+ XJ in that color, just with 4 doors!

That is a total shame. What a waste of a perfectly good jeep! How is your roof basket atached to your JK? It looks like it's going right through the Hard Top. I wouldn't think that would support much weight.

Thats my old ZJ in the last picture, here is my current project, a 73 CJ6. It has 7 leaf pack wagoneer springs front and rear, flipped to strecth the wheelbase, wagoneer D44's front and rear. 4.56 gears with full spool in the rear and a lock right up front. 258 with a t18/d20 driveline, and the most obvious reworked body to emulate the AEV Brute.

So short introduction.
Michael from Germany. As in Australia also a lot of CRD JKīs run I thought itīs a good idea to also read a bit in this forum. And also start a topic with my first problem none in Germany could solve.

I have a 2012 JKU Rubicon "slightly" modded. Well what is possible in Germany with keeping road legality and donīt have any friends in the business.

Since the last 2-3 years itīs more working on the jeep and it problems than driving. Also we can only drive in ORV parks here.

So thatīs my story........
