Hello to all. I am from Durango, Colorado and came to you by way of the Gold Coast Jeepers. I live 2½ hours from Moab, Utah. I thought you'd enjoy a few pics of my rig.

Awesome dude. One day I'd like to get to that area and do the trails. I've seen the Black Bear Pass on the magazine of 4wheeldrive and sport utility magazine. I really do like the scenery there. How far is it to drive from LA? And what's the best time of the year to head that way?

Cheers

So can I come and live with you? We will change it to www.aus_and_usa_jeepoffroad.com instead :) I have seen pics of Bill Haycraft's Jeep before, got some info on it? Better yet get him to register :)

Los Angeles International Airport is about a 14 hour drive from here. Most people take another flight to Albuquerque, New Mexico and drive up. That is only a 3 hour drive. Black Bear can be closed all the way into July and can get snow as early as October, so a lot is dependant on the weather. Late July, early August is HOT in the lower areas like Moab (which is over 100F) and Black Bear will be in the 70's. October would be my pick.

Sure, I live on 40 acres. I "borrowed" that pic off the internet since Bill would not supply me a picture of his Cherokee. ;) Bill is about 90 and not computer savy. There are a couple "funny" pictures on that page. Most of the pictures are that persons rig, but there are a few I took artistic license on. :D
