Just wondering if you fellas wouldn't mind posting up some scenery around western Australia, mabe some local wild life, ect, I'll be there in a couple weeks, and it'd be awesome to get a head start on what I'm about to experience. to return the favor I'll post up a few pics I've taken over the years here in canada.

Hey mate heres a few from the south west, approximately 2 hours south of Perth

Some of the WA crew having some fun

This is near Augusta 3 hours south of Perth

Just a couple I have and maybe I'm biased but I think the south west corner is very diverse and has a lot to offer.

what about marine life, I see some pics of people petting dolphins in knee deep water, is that real? what about snorkeling, I know of the great barrier reef, but is there any to be had on the west side?

Vman
21-11-2007, 02:54 PM
Lots of marine life on the west or east. Dolphins that's at Monkey Mia 10hours north of Perth and yes they come up to you, you can see then all over the coast line. You can swim with the Wale Sharks. I dive and snorkel and WA has a few spots for that. Some as close as the Island of Perth called Rottnest. In Perth there is the Under-Water World good spot to see some marine life.

Dont forget 2 hours south of Perth, in Bunbury, we have the little known secret of the dolphin discovery center. Much like Monkey Mia but without the whalesharks and 8 hours less travelling time.

good to know, so if I wanna to some road tripping, what's a fella gonna pay to rent a car or a jeep for a day down there, and what's the price of gas?

Matty05
22-11-2007, 01:06 PM
Take a look at this site. Type in the likely dates you want a car then choose your price. It will come up with every deal the rental mobs have going from budget to premium to 4wd.

http://www.vroomvroomvroom.com.au/locations/perth/

Fuel is fairly bouyant anywhere from au$1.30 to au$1.40 and gets more expensive the further away from Perth you are.

that's harsh, we're paying 99c here and that's too much.

Besides owning a Fred Flintstone style of jeep theres not much we can do about it and unfortunately I am spending more time in my other car as it is cheaper on fuel:(
