2 inches will be ok, any more and you should have a SYE (slip yoke eliminator and new tail shaft) or motor mount / transfer case block kits.

mine came with a 2" lift and 31's... when you go bigger, you need to get SYE + tailshaft sorted out and also start looking at re-gearing the hubs to cope with the bigger diameter wheels. torque is affected so is the speedo on the dash so that needs to be tweaked also with a new gear.

more height + bigger tyres.... the higher and bigger you go the more money, time and mods you need.

first figure out how big you want your wheels to be, then plan the lift, gears and other bits and pieces out around that.

Most people would probably recommend 31's with a 2 inch lift. There is heaps of threads been done on tire size and lift height.

32's will just fit but 31's are perfect for a 2" lift.

31's are where the skill level is at... any bigger and you lose the ability to pick lines... cause you don't need to... LOL ;)

to add to the beginner question. If you wanted to go higher after a two inch lift could u achieve this by a sye and bumper stops or will your shockies be no good on another half inch gain
