What is it and where does it go??

Hey guys

Finally got the parts i need to put my gearbox and transfer case back in.

Went to hook up all the wires and i found this little thing, and i cant remember where it goes

It doesnt have much give on the wiring loom, but i cant find anywhere for it to sit

cmon guys someone must know what it is and if its needed??

Is it something for an auto trans so i dont need to worry? I just dont want to put it all back together just to find i have to plug it in somewhere

pretty sure it doesnt go anywhere, thats why its plugged off. i remeber my old manual tj had the same connector, but mine had a green plug in it.

Looks like batt temp sender, usually clips into bottom of tray.
