Re: RTA/4WD NSW & ACT working party

Today we met with the RTA to further express our concerns with the latest proposal of the VSI 50 document relating to the modification of vehicle suspensions.
Our pouint of view was listened to, and I am pleased to say that our suggestions were taken in good faith and changes to the document will be made for review by the Director & the minister.
The condition that has been of most concern to us and that would affect a large number of our members was discussed & a compromise has been reached that we believe is in the interst of the large majority of our members & that benefits us all as members of our Association. Again, acceptance of this clause has yet to have senior & ministerial approval, so this may not be the final chapter just yet.
I have to make mention of the hours that the Working Party members have devoted to this issue, and having to place their personnal emotions & wishes to one side to work to a solution that benefits all. Thank you to Tony Vaughan, Mark Benello, Shane Rolton as well as Clifford Stephenson for their time & dedication. Our thanks also to Greg Redfern, Chris Teirney & Tony Vaughan all who have all represnted the Association at meetings with the RTA on various occassions.
