why would you want to take your flares off anyway ?

crap would be getting thrown everywhere off the tyres .

Pick the mud-runner :monkey:
Whilst I like the idea of their flares - I think they look pretty craptacular.
They are no doubt plenty string - But I still think they look pretty craptacular.

wouldnt removing them for offroading ruin the point of having arched flares? I love the look though, definately considering these for future mods, though I'd be painting all those aluminium pieces black so they dont draw too much attention. Was also previously considering the bestop modular front bumper until I saw Metalcloak also have one hmmm...

My 33x12.5" XTerrains already 'just' stick out from my 7" rugged ridge flares, so no chance on 6" flares. But would definately consider these if I was to change my wheel offset & go larger tyres later on.

I was thinking even if your tyres were covered, cops would probably still sticker you as tube fenders dont continue the full width cover all the way to the rocker rail (ie the taper back in) and need gay mudflaps

You remove the outer flare not the inner flare and enlarged wheel well.

My issue is that a 6" flare still doesnt cover a 12.5" tyre in most cases....

I realise that, but I meant the arched "flares" dont limit wheel travel at all, wether you remove them or not, so theres no need to remove them. Unless you're worried about hitting them side-on, but you'd want something there atleast (like the comp rail) otherwise you could damage the fender instead of an easily replacible flare?
