Where are you buying from? I got mine from Tom Woods and he worked out what the measurement ought to be based on my providing him with all the other details. The best idea is to actually install SYE first and then measure the driveshaft length. If you can't do that, then talk to someone knowledgeable like Tom Woods in US.

You could also talk to Dave (Wooders) and get an idea. Every Jeep is different and possibly set-up differently.

Just curious why you would need SYE for a 2" lift? Mine worked fine till I bent the output shaft and then I got the SYE (JB Conversion's Super Shorty).

its a driveline place in the us, im ordering the sye and driveshaft at the same time, the reason for me getting it there instead of australia is its around $600 cheaper.
so i dont really have the option of installing the sye first before ordering the driveshaft

What tigermuzza said but also means you won't need to drop the transfer case.

I never needed to drop the transfer case with OME kit. It all worked fine with 1" MML, till the output shaft got bent after about 3 years of use. I then got Super Shorty and Tom Woods driveshaft. Spoke to Tom Woods about my current set-up and future plans, got the shaft that fits perfectly. I am now on 4" Currie springs and the set-up works wonderfully.

I had imported both the kit and driveshaft from States as well. So my suggestion would be to talk to someone who builds shafts for Wrangler on a daily basis. They would know what the lenght is likely to be if you can't wait for it.

FYI, stock shaft was 16 inch for my 01 with 3-speed auto and D44 rear. My changed shaft is 21.25" running length (a huge difference for a TJ).

I have this:

http://www.jbconversions.com/products/sye/np231j_short_sye.php

with a driveshaft from:

http://www.4xshaft.com/index.html

Tom Wood is doing a package deal with Teraflex super short. I got the long travel XC driveshaft. It would be marginally pricey, but I have not heard about Adams driveshaft (Rugged Ridge does a lot of good parts for Jeeps, so that okay).

Keep in mind that going with SYE, you will need adjustable rear upper control arms. If you go with super shorty (or RR's mega shorty), then you would need an electronic gizmo to adjust speedo (the gear drive is gone then).

I'm in a similar position as the OP. If I install a SYE then measure for Driveshaft, how long (roughly) would it take to arrive if I ordered from Wooders or JeepKonnection? (I'm in Darwin)

Obviously it's mad mudding season up here soon, and I want to keep the TJ on (and off :) ) the road.
