Howdee folks,
I posted in the 'What are your next mods / What did you do to your TJ today?' thread last week and have had some requests for more info/better pics.
These are bolt-on skids made by 'Rock Gear' (Rancho). A bit pricey and unfortunately couldn't find any locally. The only others I saw for sale were weld-on skids some of which were not compatible with OEM control arms.
These ones are compatible with OEM and aftermarket control arms (apparently) and also allow you to use the proper jacking points.
The kit includes new bolts/nuts, washers and spacers. The OEM bolt with the eccentric head goes in the bin, hmmm hope it's not important.
I'm sure there's plenty of you out there who would be equally happy with weld-on skids or even fab your own, but for a newbie like me this was a better option.
